A free test service

Guruling is free and offered as it is, while we find out whether it is useful. It may change, pause or stop at any time, with or without notice, and its features and limits may change with it.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account. One account is for one person: don’t share it or open one for someone else. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and you must be at least 16 to use Guruling.

Fair use

• Guruling has hourly limits on transcriptions and source checks, so it stays usable for everyone. Don’t try to get around them, for example with several accounts.
• Don’t scrape, crawl or script Guruling itself, and don’t overload it or probe it for weaknesses.
• Don’t use Guruling for anything unlawful or to harm others.

Sources and transcripts

You are responsible for the sources you add. Videos and their transcripts belong to their creators. Guruling only fetches captions that YouTube makes publicly available, for your personal use and research. Respect YouTube’s Terms of Service and the creators’ rights; what you do with a transcript beyond that is your responsibility.

Suspension

We may suspend or delete accounts that abuse the service or break these terms. You can delete your own account at any time with Delete account on your Profile page.

No warranty

Guruling comes with no warranty of any kind. Transcripts can be incomplete or wrong, videos can fail to transcribe, and data can be lost, so keep your own copy of anything that matters. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage from using Guruling or from not being able to use it. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you that can’t be limited.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The new version appears on this page with its date, and using Guruling after that means you accept it. For questions, complaints and notices about these terms, write to mail.interval@gmail.com.
