Leura Service Centre

Hana Japanese Restaurant & Cafe

Gourmet121 Leura Mall, Leura

My wife and myself eat here (either eating in or getting takeaway) at least once a week, and have tried just about everything they make. We absolutely love the place. The service is extremely friendly, the food is simple but always fresh & delicious, and we are yet to have a single issue. Favorites are definitely the sushi rolls (they're very big, with nice fresh ingredients), the noodle dishes, and the teriyaki salmon served on a sizzling hot plate. Getting a table on a weekend can be difficult so call ahead. Callan Back

In the five years we've been eating at hana we've always walked away feeling good. The food is excellent and well priced. The mostly Japanese speaking staff do their very best however on occasion things get lost in the translation. Their Chef's are always friendly. Personally I love and place that serves fresh tuna and Hana does it well. Gareth Morales

I came here for dinner on a Thursday night, the place was a little busy but the staff were friendly and attentive. Entrees sizes were actually quote good value for money. I had the Teriyaki Chicken which was really good. My friend had the Tempura and I admit I took some of his lol...of course while he wasnt looking :) All in all a good place.Andrew W

Went here a couple of weeks ago and hated it. The place was soooo dirty (photos can be supplied) There was a huge fly dead on the shelf behind me, the padded seats were revoltingly filthy, carpet was dirty and a fly got caught in my hair. YUKLydia Browning

Le Gobelet French Restaurant

Gourmet131 Leura Mall, Leura

Firstly ignore any 1 star reviews. Because you gotta understand what this place is about. So read below!! Firstly - The food is so amazing, it is worth me travelling fro Sydney up to Leura just for the food. The Scallops, Soup and Escargot are Entree's are so amazing. Then...go for the Cherry Duck for the main. The duck is de-boned, the duck is soft inside but crispy on the outside. Now you may think you have had the best french food made by so and so chef in the city - that is just whatever food compared to this place. Secondly - This place is great. Its a cross between Fawlty Towers and French Restaurant - the chef is funny and his wife is so funny as well. Don't expect 5 star luxury service. You come for the fun and enjoy the entertainment. I mean no bands, but she is the life of the restaurant. So enjoy! Those that give it 1 or 2 stars come expected to be offered luxury 5 star service - you wont get it. What you will get is a meal that is so amazing and entertainment from husband and wife - PLUS this is not a 30 minute shove down the throat joint, food takes a while to make and in traditional French style will take a few hours. The owners are AWESOME. Both as mad as a bag of cats (or dogs in their case as they have about 6 of them!). My husband and I go to Le Goblet any chance we can and have never waited less than 4 hours to eat our meals but it is WORTH IT! The best french cuisine we have ever had. Sure their style of service is ridiculously unorthadox, but who cares? It is an experience to eat here and we love it.Nadine Spencer

The food is terrific as long as you have what you are told you will like. Eating here will leave you with happy stories for a lifetime. And dont plan on a quick meal.Nick Elvin

Reminds me of a French version of Faulty Towers, with 1 exception. The food is nothing short of sensational. It takes ages for the meals to come out, the tables and chairs need replacing, service is slow, just a touch on the expensive side (not too bad). But we look for excuses to eat there, love it. Try the rainbow trout, superb. Simon Thomas

Food was excellent: ordered a pork tenderloin as a main and banana tart for desert. Be prepared for a pricey meal, was around $60pp for main and desert, however the quality of the meal was worth the price. Wait staff were attentive to drinks. Overall a great eating experience, would return. Sarah lilly

My wife and I had lunch at Silk's last week. The Carpaccio of beef fillet was excellent, five stars for that. One star off for the ravioli, the olives were wrong in the dish and the taste was on par with tin can ravioli. One more star off for the Moroccan lamb back-strap fillet. My Moroccan family would be ashamed to offer such chewy meat. The cous cous was not light and fluffy and the sauce was boring. One last star off to the staff, ignoring us when we were about to leave. To keep the change and snatch the tip? Don't even want to know the answer. O-tone my wife:"I never set foot into that place."Seaman Steyne
