Run by a husband and wife team, Subo has contemporary bistro setting but fine dining quality food. Menu changes monthly and focuses on local produce. In December they run a 5 course tasting menu with a Christmas theme. I absolutely loved the Sherry and Brown Sugar Glazed Ham with pumpernickel, native muntries, riberries and gravy. It was like Christmas on a plate! Make sure you go there with a big appetite as the portions are very generous, my night ended in a food coma!Tracy Wang

Absolutely wonderful - the museum was well maintained, looked beautiful, and had heaps of good quality and interesting pieces. Spent a few hours looking around and enjoyed every minute of it. The cafe was also very well priced and the food was delicious. Highly recommended!Michael Watson

There are a few parts to this museum. Part of it is an interactive section fir kids with general hands on science experiments and exhibits. Included in this section is a fun play area. Another section tells the story of steel industry in Newcastle. A third area is local history in Newcastle, and current research. There is also a paid visiting exhibit about dinosaurs (3-12-2011). Fun and inexpensive for the whole family.Kimme Suchyta

The museum is disappointing if you don't have children. 99% of the exhibitions are directed at children. It was over run with children when I visited and couldn't get near many of the exhibitions because they were so many children trying to interact with/ view it. Perhaps they should rename it "Newcastle Museum for Children."Lachlan G

I have always been happy with the service that I get from the girls at Lily Victoria. They are friendly and always make great suggestions. I have been such a happy customer that I recently signed up for their gold membership, which is going to be such a money saver. I loved my manicure and can't wait to come back for my facial! Thank you!!Bree Sketchley

I was incredibly disappointed with my eye-brow wax! The lady waxing my eye-brows was didn't want to listen to what I wanted just proceeded to do it the way she thought it should be done. She also burnt my eyebrows by going over the same spot numerous times with hot wax. I won't be going back!Susan Matthews
