The Nags Head Hotel
Gourmet272 Brunker Road, AdamstownGreat food and quite good prices when you consider both the portion size and quality. The Viking cutlet is amazing and the schnitzel holds its own. Interior is immaculate and staff friendly. Beer selection on tap doesn't rival The Firestation at Wallsend or the Albion but still decent. Matt Parsons
Probably one of the worst places I have eaten at in Newcastle to date. After experiencing very average service by the waitress at the counter that could not even direct us to our table after booking beforehand on the phone, not being supplied menus and having to source our own way of ordering I ended up with the wrong meal that tasted dreadful and was surrounded by people who were filled with the urge to yell inappropriate words across the room at each other with staff not doing anything about it. The atmosphere was very average and the bar tenders were not helpful in any way and seemed to have a hearing problem after having to repeat what I wanted 4 times and then not being quoted a price. After reading the reviews on this venue pre-booking I was rather keen to spend money here, but after this experience I will not be returning and would not recommend it to anyone. Jordan Conder
