Kuranda Railway Station

StationCoondoo Street, Kuranda

A must see place for any nature lovers....built way back in 1831 this railway station is in the high altitudes amidst the rain forest...we have gone uphills by cable car and down by Kuranda Train...both ways it’s a nice experience...Anyone visiting Cairns City in Australia has to opt to go for this ride....its an amazing experience overall ....Divakar Reddy Maddhi

We absolutely loved the train trip from Freshwater station to Kuranda, the views were beautiful and it was interesting to hear the history of the train. It was good too that we stopped on the way up for a photo opportunity even though we managed to take numerous photos through the carriage window. There's something about old trains- enjoyed every moment!Liisa Baun

A must see when visiting Cairns. It was good to see the old heritage station and operating tearoom. The whole journeys on the train was terrific with good narrative. Devonshire tea was fantastic with freshly baked scones with cream.Rhonda Clelland

Amazing views. Cool if you leave the windows open to get a breeze. Great if the train is not crowded.. even better when they ask if people want to move to another carriage to ensure everyone gets a good spot.Robert Mark Bram
