Fantastic museum! Clean and modern, two hangars with a number of spotlessly restored historic civilian and military planes as well with models and memorabilia of all kinds, from Spitfire to F111 via Douglas DC3 and a Sikorsky helicopter you can sit in, plenty of info about Australian aviators in the multimedia presentations and even some activities! Totally recommend, there's enough to see to keep you busy for a good afternoon.Dario Venier

Huge range of aircraft (including an F111 and a Spitfire) laid out extremely well with very good information. The museum holds a number of engine runs throughout the year which are worth viewing - particularly the Merlin. Very enthusiastic group of volunteers. Plenty of parking and close to other museums. Also disabled access. Ruth Day

National Railway Museum

Museum76 Lipson Street, Port Adelaide

The Railway Museum has been one of my favourite places to go since I was a young kid. I have always enjoyed seeing the trains and having a great time looking at the model railway, and of course going on a train ride on the 457mm locomotive.Nathan White

There's so much history to tell. Love the history and on how they keep this place running. There was a short train ride and it was cool 😊Anjie Fortiz

Went on a weekday when it was very hot, great time to go as there was almost no one there. Very eerie vibe to the place. Exhibits were unreal, real life full sized trains and carriages to boot were impressive. Actually interesting information even for a youth like me. Venue was also like a haunted house, going into carriages or exhibits lights would come on suddenly to reveal somewhat grotesque mannequins which scared my wife consistently to no end, I had to bravely enter dark places first. Interesting place to go for an hour.Ten
