Town Hall

StationAustralia

This station is in the process of being refurbished. It's fairly cramped and the layout can be a bit awkward however the new numbered and named exit signs make it much easier to orientate yourself when you exit the platforms.Gordon Campbell

More Detail

Hot, crowded and has loud, intrusive, repetitive video ads. Pretty sure it's more of a turnoff than good advertising at this point for all the tired workers heading home in the evening. It's a very convenient location though. Give yourself 6 minutes to push your way through the crowds if you're catching a train between 5:30-6:30 pm.Michelle Wong

Be prepared to be squashed in like sardines elbow to elbow in the morning rush-hour bustle between Town Hall and Wynyard. Not the easiest place to navigate your way around. If you get lost or can't find the platform you need (there are multiple levels of platforms) just head up to the top level and look for the signboards.Rainer Schmid

During peak commuter hours this station can get quite crowed with very little room to move up and down the platform. For a major station like this i am surprised there is still a large step and gap between the train and the platform. The floor tiles were upgraded recently, and this would have been a perfect opportunity to level the platform. On another note its very easy to access from various locations and does have liftsMario Gentile

Ayurve Spa

Spa436 George Street, Sydney

I visited Sydney last month and my cousin took me with her to Ayurve Spa. I had a fresh new perspective in life after my first day spa treatment at Ayurve Spa and I couldn't stop admiring my skin. They have wonderful ambiance & staff over there and they take a very good care of you. I recommend you should at least visit this place once and see for yourself. Anisha Jani

Lovely place, the staff really cares about your well being and are great taking care of your skin. And the Massages from Ciara are to die for! I always go back. The Spa is really clean and the services, specially the Body Scrub & Massage and the Aspect Facials are great. The prices range from $60 to $160, so it actually is quite affordable.Marisa De Sousa

Tetsuya's Restaurant

Gourmet529 Kent Street, Sydney

One of the finest dining experiences in Sydney, IMHO. The degustation menu is well conceived, and on this occasion, perfectly executed with the freshest of ingredients. The service was faultless. We especially appreciated the tea degustation that paired teas to the dishes - a superb and brilliant accommodation for non-alcoholics.Philip Low

If restaurants were actors, Tetsuya's would be George Clooney. Sure, he's been around for a while; he's not cheap; but there's a reason he's popular: he's actually really good. You might not get the new (and perhaps temporary) trendiness of a Channing Tatum, but you will get something timeless and pretty upmarket. In some circles it's fashionable to reject Clooney because your parents liked him too. Your parents knew what they were doing. Go to Tetsuya's. Watch Gravity. Enjoy your Saturday night.Samuel Mclean

Gorgeous food, beauty atmosphere, lovely waitstaff, the best fine dining experience in Sydney, $25 flat rate valet parking, and understanding call desk when you say you'll be 20 minutes late due to traffic in the city..Vexia Marionette

My husband and I were here to enjoy an anniversary lunch a long while ago. Unfortunately our experience was disappointing as we both found most of our dishes quite salty. I wasn't sure what exactly was wrong, but I did share this with our server. I didn't feel well after the meal, and found myself drinking a lot of water. While the service was lovely, I wish I had a better experience with the meal for what we paid.Z Sheppard

Hilton Sydney

Gourmet488 George Street, Sydney

Had a wonderful weekend visit here. It was in a great location, with handy access to public transport (for the few things we couldn't just walk to). Staff were top notch as always. Considering that it is priced similar to much lower quality properties in the area I would recommend staying here.Andrew Whyte

I Booked and paid $3500 Aud for a Smoking Room on line prior to my arrival to Sydney Hilton. Upon checking in to the hotel my first mistake was that i listened to the incompetent female Receptionist who passed me my room key who stated all was in order for my booking request made through the QANTAS iPhone application. Three days later i received a knock on the door at 2359 midnight not a phone call as one would expect as not to disturb me as the guest occupying the room and was confronted by the hotel night security guard aka (Meat Head) who asked me to turn down my television volume and to cease smoking in the room. I Queried and i asked as to why i was being told i could not smoke in my room where the receptionist advised on check in that i was allocated to a smoking room as i requested in my online booking however the receptionist lied to my face on check in and she had in fact allocated me to a Non smoking room. The Night Duty Manager (Dominic) then came to my room and i explained the incompetence of the receptionist on check in i agreed that i would cease smoking in the room and that the next day would like to be allocated to a smoking room. He stated that there were no smoking rooms available for the duration of my stay to my amazement where he did confirm such a fact based on the spot memory recall in front of my eyes without consulting the hotel reservation computer system to confirm factual events of smoking rooms checking out of the hotel 11 hours later. He then stated i would be charged for a cleaning bill for smoking in the room despite the incompetence of the receptionist who advised on check in that i was in a smoking room who demonstrated lack of customer focus and integrity in that she lied to myself the customer and due to her lack of foresight and customer focus and lack of ethics and honesty and integrity i the innocent customer was to incur a financial loss due to no fault of my own, that to anyone with half a brain could see should assign the blame to my self as obviously this was my mistake for not perusing Hilton Hotel Internal procedures and policy in it's entirety before occupying my room albeit i could not find a copy of this internal policy document much to my frustration as to make myself au-fiat with it's content as it is the duty of all guests who must be required to do so being a mandatory process although not made public knowledge i confess i was clearly remiss in not consulting my crystal ball and daily psychic reading that would have indicated such. I was then told by the Night Security Guard aka Gorilla that i should now leave the hotel and was no longer welcome as a guest and check out at reasonable time of 0030am i could sense he was clearly from the school of the gifted and was acting within the scope of his authority as the token Glorified security guard / CEO of the Hilton group. Both the Night duty manager (Dominic) and the Security guard both of Middle eastern decent both proceeded to intimidate and bully me as a hotel guest. I Will never stay at a HILTON Hotel again as long as i live i am absolutely flabbergasted and offended by the chain of events that occurred this is not the standard required by a five star hotel. Unbelievable. In future i would recommend the Sheraton on the Park for any visitors to Sydney for business or pleasure. HILTON FAILJarratt Cullen
